WHAT IS THE FEAR OF REJECTION?

This is simply a feeling in the mind. It may seem deeper than that but its mainly rooted in the mind.

For instance: you want to walk up to a person, maybe a pretty girl you saw and kinda liked but you worry and start asking yourself questions like, what if she doesn’t like me? What if this and what if that?

It’s all in the mind!

And because of this fear, you relent from walking up to her (taking the risk), and seeing if she might just like you too (reaching big goals).

And sometimes you relent because you don’t want to get hurt or heartbroken.

Steps to getting over your fear of rejection:

1. REMEMBER, YOU’RE NOT ALONE IN THIS ?.

With this, let me tell you a STORY of my own.

I happen to have this fears too. And it has kept me from so much (i must say.)

However, I met a GUY, a special one (if i may add.)

He and I hit off on a different kind of connection. I mean it made sense, we had our moments and 2 weeks into just meeting each other it felt like we’ve known each other for years already.

Now you know how love can be, the euphoric feeling filling up your heart and mind; he took a crazy step and asked me to be his girlfriend.

I was sceptical about it as we had just met like 2 weeks ago (you know ?.) So, i thought deep about it.

Normally, my usual, quick step would have being a straight up NO (like man, get out?) but i decided to also take a chance on him as he did too.

It was a big risk and step for me but after the relationship ended (sadly ??) I was mostly thankful for everything rather than regret. I was glad i didn’t let my fears stop me.

LESSON:

My point exactly is that everyone gets rejected in one way or the other.

But imagine taking that rejection and learning its lesson and moving on instantly.

Or, better still taking the bold STEP and saying yes to that RISK. Who knows what could come out of it? Maybe it will change your life FOREVER!

2. REMIND YOURSELF CONSTANTLY: You’re Worth More Than Rubies

Yes, this words maybe hard to believe as you have all these negative thoughts going up in your head, that keeps making you feel sad or low about yourself.

TRY;

  • Tell yourself the opposite of those words.
  • Speak great words to yourself everytime! Like declarations, “you’re beautiful, you’re special, you’re to win!”
  • Look into the Mirror, smile and tell yourself , “I’m worth more than rubies” and don’t leave immediately, keep saying it till you believe it.”

3. IT’S ALL IN YOUR HEAD, STOP THINKING YOU’RE NOT ENOUGH.

Most times this thoughts or feeling of not being enough results from , “INFERIORITY COMPLEX.

And this is simply the feeling of inadequacy, where one feels like he or she is not enough and every other person (peers) is better than them.

However, you must know that inferiority complex (low-self esteem) can be fixed if you truly BLOCK ALL NEGATIVE WORDS AND ACCEPT ONLY POSITIVE WORDS AND AFFIRMATIONS (no matter how true this negative words may be.)
