DIARY: How I Spent My Last Holi-day?

Today, something weirdly amazing happened to me.

Do you know that feeling of awareness you feel when you know God is in your matter; you just see progress, immeasurable favor, grace, and mercy all over you.

And you just know… This is the hand of God??.

STORY OF TODAY

Once upon a time, a small girl was unhappy about her present course of study as she found no fulfillment in it.

She also knew that God didn’t want her to be in that course but rather study another thing entirely which she was also passionate about.

After a few years of deliberating and thinking about crossing into Guidance and Counselling (which she wanted), she finally got the courage to do so through the help of a God-sent and divine helper (thank you?), she got it.

Unfortunately, her mom and family were against it.

And threatened to not pay her school fees again if she tried such a thing.

…well she is too stubborn, she hears no word, so she waka go do the course transfer rather than suffer a lifetime full of regret ☹️.

This small girl… is ME (nice to meet you too?)

So, today… Do You Know What Happened?

After a long day of school, work, wearing tight shoes, carrying a heavy laptop bag (it cannot be overemphasized??), and still waking under the hot sun with an empty stomach in this same NIGERIA… I was prepared to faint tbvh??‍♀️.

So after all this wahala, a friend of mine (let his name be ‘great sponsor’ as he has money ehn??), a great sponsor, said we and some other people should meet up at a very far place, our office for work stuff by 9:00 pm.

he warned, “You must not be late. If you are just one minute late, you will pay a fine of 1000 naira.”

“You know me, I don’t talk too much,” he threatened.

Me, as the good girl that I am na?… I left school with tiredness in my eyes and all those other wahala (trouble) and went in time, by 7 pm.

As I was going to the venue, I called my great sponsor? to make sure the plan was still on, just to avoid stories that touch the heart; I cannot come and cry abeg??.

He said, It’s alright, I should go that his boss? is aware and present.

hmm, I was not sure, I had doubts yet I kept on trekking in the dark with stress and that heavy laptop bag, but as I was going, I was praying, hoping in my heart that there would be people there and there would be light too.

…Finally, I arrived at the venue after much hassle and work, I looked around and it was pitch black, no single soul was present…

see me see wahala… I want to cry? but hunger no gree me cry o ?.

I just took out my phone and behold, I missed a call from the great sponsor.

Then I dialed his number, still hoping I came too early, you know maybe they were still on their way…

Hmm, so my guy just tell me to say, “Hey, I hope you have not left your house (me that is there already??‍♀️) urm… my boss said it won’t happen today but tomorrow as the generator is faulty”

Ahh, lovely, see me see wahala (trouble) ooo… chaii, I just kept quiet and left the premises.

This time around, I took a bike o (i cannot go and come and kill myself abeg), and straight to the bus stop.

And just when I thought all hope was lost, my dear reader, as I highlighted from the bike (almost falling down bcos of the bag?), I saw one fine boy like this… my schoolmate.

And fortunately for me but unfortunately for him, I stopped right in front of a suya (grilled meat for sale)? man, naso I bill the guy o.

No, tell me is God not good??!

“Aboki, gimme 100 naira suya” my friend said to the suya man.

“Bros, i no dey sell suya 100 naira. Na from 500 nairas upward ” see me see laugh… l just burst?, for this same NIGERIA?

Chaii, wetin Musa no go see for gate… abeg make I pass you too like a story… Goodnight???!

P.S. The suya man later gave us 4 pieces for 100 nairas ?.
